This year at West Fest, science broke out of the classroom and into the community. Families stopped by our booth to explore experiments, peer through microscopes, and experience STEM in a new way.

The festival atmosphere gave learning a fresh energy. Children crowded around the tables, curious to see what was under the microscope, while parents and neighbors leaned in to try the activities for themselves. Volunteers guided each interaction, making sure everyone had a chance to explore and discover something new.

West Fest showed how powerful it can be to meet families where they are. By bringing STEM activities to a community celebration, we created space for kids and adults alike to engage with science in a fun and approachable setting. The conversations that started here carried well beyond the tent, reminding us that STEM belongs not only in classrooms, but also in parks, festivals, and everyday life.

We are grateful to have been part of this event and to share the joy of discovery with so many people. West Fest was a celebration of community and curiosity, and we look forward to bringing even more hands-on STEM experiences to future gatherings.
